Thierry Le Cocq & Alessia Lyndin (Paris, France)
A dancer of international reputation, Thierry Le Cocq has been invited in many international festivals all throughout Europe, as well as the United States, Russia, and Asia. Nonetheless, it is in Buenos Aires that he particularly developed his sensitivity and style, sharing his perception and sharpening his dance, body and soul, near the best milongueros. He is especially appreciated and famous for the fluidity and the elegance of his displacement, his creative mobility and his very musical rhythmic interpretation which gives him a very specific supple and at the same time dynamic style, combining the modern with the traditional. Undoubtedly, the success of his appearances is attributed mainly to his "abrazo, postura, musicalidad y compás bien pisado".

He bases his research in body kinesis, and so develops a clean method in the teaching of tango, off the beaten path. His personal work is centred on the consciousness of the body in movement - posture, breathing, displacements respecting natural mechanics, exchange of energies, rhythm and style, in search of an optimal adequacy between body comfort and subtle techniques in order to reach a harmony based on the sensitivity towards the partner, interpretation and improvisation. He thus developed a simple pedagogy, based on natural and instinctive behaviours, aiming at releasing body and spirit of any constraints.

Contemporary dancer and artist, Alessia Lyndin is a graduate of Milan “Paolo Grassi” Dramatic Art Academy - Section Dancetheatre, and of Grenade Fine Arts Faculty. She was formed to various dance techniques by well known European and Japanese Masters. She created her own performances and also danced for other producers and/or choreographers. In parallel she studied Brazilian, African and Oriental dances and continued her research on body awareness through Pilates technique (FIF instructor diploma) and Yoga (Hatha and Ashtanga), which she has been practising and teaching for many years, as well as dance improvisation, basic technique and “Spiral Body” for both children and adults. This new technique knows a particular success in the world of the Argentine tango under the name of TANGOLATES, and Alessia’s classes are widely appreciated by the dancers who plebiscite it. Similarly, TANKYNESY is a class in which she also uses the consciousness of body and postures of tango; yet while Pilates exercises are carried out on the floor, Tangokynesie exercises are on one’s feet.

Alessia's meeting with Argentine Tango, through contact dance, quickly transforms this dance in her greatest passion, and she decides to settle down in Paris and work with Thierry Le Cocq.

Elegant and resolute dancers, together they form a remarkable couple of dancers of a delightful and emotional scenic presence and, in addition, a complete teaching couple focusing on the technical aspects as well as on the necessary and useful body awareness in the learning of this moving art.
